Résumé :
|
The polymers, a term we hear a lot about, are extremely important and one cannot conceive existence without them. Polymers are made up of several small molecules called monomers that are bonded together to form lengthy chains and are found in many products and items we use every day. Polymers are commonly used sophisticated materials that can be found in nearly every item we use in our daily lives. Polymers' relevance has recently been highlighted due to its applications in several fields of science, technology, and industry, ranging from basic usage to biopolymers and medicinal polymers. Polymers are utilized in large numbers in medical devices, consumable medical products, and medical product packaging. Polymers are widely employed in building, engineering, and a wide range of commercial products. The new materials are introduced as a result of the rapid increase in demand for produced goods. Polymers are the new materials, and their impact on our current way of life is almost incalculable. Polymer-based products are all around us. The content coverage in this book include fundamentals of synthesis, characterization, properties and also include discussion on the applications of polymers, as well as challenges pertaining to contemporary polymer research.
