BASICS OF ECONOMICS

Abstract

This work aims to provide a set of lectures on an introduction to economics in accordance with the syllabus, as this work deals with ten main axes that begin with clarifying the concept, importance and essence of economics, then it deals with the elements of economic activity from production, distribution, consumption, savings and investment, then economic agents (families, economic institutions, public administrations, the outside world), then we gave a lecture on the market and its importance, types and forms, followed by money, its origins, development and importance, then we discussed some economic phenomena such as inflation, its definition, causes, types and effects and policies to reduce it, and unemployment, its concept, causes, types, effects and methods of treatment), and finally we discussed the lesson on growth, development and sustainable development.
