| dc.description.abstract | Like hypertension, dysthyroidism, dyslipidemia, cancers... Diabetes is considered today one of the most widespread chronic diseases in the world with a predominance of type 2, which has been constantly increasing for several years. This work had as a study population, 124 diabetic patients from the wilaya of Setif and showed that type 2 diabetes had a female predominance, that it affected subjects over the age of 50 more particularly, that the majority of them was overweight (BMI> 25 Kg/m²) and favored doctors from the private sector, hypertension was the most common underlying disease and metformin was the most prescribed oral antidiabetic (alone or in combination) and that therapeutic compliance was mediocre, not exceeding 49% of the patients studied. | |

Le diabète est aujourd'hui l'une des maladies chroniques les plus répandues dans le monde avec une prédominance du type 2 (DT2), qui est en augmentation constante depuis plusieurs années. Ce travail avait comme population d’étude, 124 patients diabétiques de la wilaya de Sétif et a montré que le DT2 avait une prédominance féminine, qu’il touchait les sujets âgés de plus de 50 ans plus particulièrement, que la majorité d’entre eux était en surpoids ( IMC> 25 Kg/m²) et privilégiait les médecins du secteur privé , l’HTA était la maladie sous-jacente la plus répandue et la metformine était l’antidiabétique oral le plus prescrit (seul ou en association) et que l’observance thérapeutique était médiocre ne dépassant pas les 49% des malades étudiés. | |
