| dc.description.abstract | The objective of our study was to evaluate transfusion practices at the Wilaya Blood Transfusion Center (WBTC) of SÉTIF, to optimize patient safety and improve the quality of care. This prospective study was conducted over a period of three months and included 3,405 blood donations. It covered the entire transfusion chain, including donor reception, medical interviews, blood collection, serological testing (HIV, HBV, HCV, and syphilis), immunohematological testing (ABO and Rh blood grouping, phenotyping, and hemolysin screening), as well as preparation, quality control, storage, and distribution of blood components. The results confirm an overall satisfactory level of transfusion safety, while highlighting the persistence of certain areas requiring improvement. | |
| dc.description.sponsorship | L’objectif de notre étude est d'évaluer les pratiques transfusionnelles au Centre de Transfusion Sanguine de Wilaya (CSW) de Sétif, afin d’optimiser la sécurité des patients et d’améliorer la qualité de la prise en charge. Il s’agit d’une étude prospective dans une durée de 3 mois ; elle inclut 3405 dons de sang et couvre l’ensemble de la chaîne transfusionnelle : accueil des donneurs, entretien médical, prélèvements, analyses sérologiques (VIH, VHB, VHC, syphilis) et immuno-hématologiques (groupage ABO, Rhésus, phénotypes, recherche d’hémolysines), préparation, contrôle, conservation et distribution des produits sanguins labiles (PSL). Les résultats confirment une sécurité transfusionnelle globalement satisfaisante, mais mettent en évidence la persistance de certains axes d’amélioration | |
