Pathologies Tumorales De La Cavité Buccale :Prise en Charge Et Implication Du Médecin Dentiste

Abstract

Tumours of the oral cavity represent a public health problem that occurs most often in alcohol-smoking subjects and in precancerous lesions. The dentist remains one of the main actors in the screening of these tumours. He also has a role to play in treatments preparation, managing side effects, and post-therapeutic follow-up. Basing our effort on this data, we began this modest work by adopting the following approach: Initially, we started with a theoretical part covering the risk factors, the different clinical entities, their diagnosis and treatment, and especially the role of the dentist in the sometimes-complex therapeutic process. Secondly, a practical part which includes two components: an epidemiological study aimed at evaluating the management of these tumours by the dentists of the commune of Setif, as well as a clinical study where we have been actively involved.
