Abstract
Given the recognized evolution of the industrial sector, energy-related challenges necessitate the development of active filtering systems for power distribution networks. To address this issue, this thesis focuses on using a DC-AC converter connected to a coupling element to create an effective current source. This source generates a current that is in phase opposition to the distorting component produced by the non-linear load—typically comprising diode or thyristor rectifier bridges.
We therefore focus on reducing the injection of harmonic currents into the electrical grid. To achieve this, we employed a dead-beat predictive control strategy, which provides effective current regulation. By combining the filtering structure with this predictive control approach, we obtain a highly efficient active filter.
