Polyarthrite Rhumatoïde ; Epidémiologie et Traitement.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (PR) is a chronic deforming and destructive inflammatory rheumatism most common in adults. It particularly affects women around the age of 40-50. Its severity is the consequence of chronic inflammation of the joint synovial membrane which leads to the destruction of bone and cartilage, increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis and infection. Medical treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is essential but remains insufficient for overall care. Multidisciplinary care, including education about the disease, is a more appropriate therapeutic approach. To study the prevalence of RA in the Mila region, a retrospective descriptive study was carried out in the internal medicine department of the Tobal hospital in MILA. During a period of 3 months (from July 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024). We studied 35 patients whose age range was between 22-77 years old. They were predominantly female (85.71%). All our results were in agreement with the literature. This study allowed us to better understand this relatively common, disabling and serious pathology
