Etude géologique, géotechnique et de stabilité du glissement de terrain du versant Est de la ville de Texenna wilaya de Jijel.

Abstract

The site object of this research is part of the city of Taxenna; it is located at the extreme Northeast of this city. Geologically, the area is covered by a layer of embankments of varying thickness based on schist scree due to the alteration in the underlying shale layers. The landslide affecting this area was caused by excavation work during the construction of the new Taxenna Daira headquarters, especially since this work was carried out during the rainy season. It is the result of a combination of several natural predisposing factors, such as lithology, morphology and water and anthropogenic factors (earthworks). Based on the results of the stability calculations using the Geo-Slope software, the safety coefficient is less than 1.5 which means that the site is unstable and convenient means of stabilizing the terrain and maintaining work are needed the constructions. A stability test after installing gabions (comfort means) with the realization of a drainage system showed that the safety factor also increased; ensure long-term and ultimate soil stability.
