Évaluation du cout de la prise en charge du cancer de la prostate (au niveau de l’eph Zerdani Salah – Ain Beida)

Abstract

Due to its high frequency and severity prostate cancer is a public health problem Prostate cancer ( prostatic adenocarcinoma)is now a public health problem in the foreground in the last 15 years due to the use of PSA test and the increase of life exprectancy On a worldwide scale it represents the second cause of death by cancer after lung cancer The study is based on the evaluation of the cost of the different protocoles that are used in the treatment of prostate cancer The main objective of the study is to calculate the total cost of the treatment , the current challenge is to have the best efficiency with the least cost 24 partients were treated in our unit from april 1st 2023 to september 30 2024 We can explain this limited number of patients by the fact that it's a new unit of medical oncology that only startee since april 2023 The possibility of an early dignosis at a curable stage opened the door to screening in hope to reduce the high mortality of prostate cancer Cancer represents a big economic problem even if its early detection can generates substantial costs ,respecting the guidelines in matter of treatment won't cause more to the state
