Abstract
The objective of this work is the realization of the synthesis, the physicochemical and of Three new Schiff base compounds deriving from the 2-hydroxy-3- methoxybenzaldehyde, their were confirmed by spectroscopic methods: UV- Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and NMR, It also includes the study of the inhibition of corrosion of steel (F10) in a basic medium simulating the pore water of concrete pores in the presence of chlorides is examined by voltammetry, impedancemetry and the gravimetric method. The results obtained were confirmed by quantum chemistry calculations (DFT) and show that the synthesized molecules present promising inhibitory properties. We also
determined the interactions between the inhibitors and the F(10) surface by molecular dynamics simulation (SDM) calculations. The antibacterial and antioxidant activity of synthesized Schiff base ligand were studied in vitro. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using the (DPPH test and β-carotene/linoleic acid bleaching test). On
the other hand, the in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities of the synthesized Schiff bases wereinvestigated using the disk diffusion method. The synthesized Schiff bases exhibited varying degrees of inhibitory effects on the growth of microbial species tested against pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli (G_),
Pseudomonas aerugenosa (G-), Staphylococcus aureus (G+), Bacillus Subtilis (G+) and fungi Candida albicans (Fungus) . The Schiff base compounds studied exhibit good antifungal and antioxidant activity. The results obtained are in good agreement with the literature and open up prospects for applications of these Schiff bases
and their complexes in analytical chemistry and medicine.
