Abstract

The study of the higherbeams of lasers, in particular the Laguerre-Gauss beams, opens up new prospects for the advancement of science and technology. By exploiting the unique properties of thesebeams, wewillbe able to develop more advanced technologies and gain a betterunderstanding of complexphysicalphenomena. Theseadvances have the potential to have a significant impact in manyfields, frommedicine to optical communication and astronomy, and to stimulate new discoveries and innovations in the future. In the first part, we have studied the properties of lasers, theirfundamentalGaussianbeams and the higher Hermite and Laguerre Gauss modes, coherent and incoherentbeams, and we plot the intensity profiles of LGpl type Laguerre Gauss beams. In the second part, we have created out a numericalstudy of the Laguerre-Gauss beams of the LGpltype. Thesebeams have been generated and the radial intensity profiles across a diaphragm have been illustrated. Finally, in the third part, we have represented the intensity distributions of the incoherent mixture to finallydetermine the weighting coefficients and the waist of the mixture.
