Taux de vaccination, connaissances et comportement vis-à-vis la covid-19 et la vaccination chez les internes en sciences médicales du chu de Sétif

Abstract

The spread of the new SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, discovered in China in December 2020, ledto a pandemic by March 2020, forcing every health system in every affected country to rapidly adapt to this urgent health crisis. -Safe and effective vaccines have been produced to protect vaccinated persons against complications and severe forms of the disease, to reduce the number of hospitalizations and deaths, and to control the spread of COVID-19. -Our cross-sectional study, which took place from March 7 to April 7, 2022 at the University Hospital of Setif, our objective is to estimate the rate of vaccination against COVID-19 and to evaluate the knowledge of medical interns on COVID-19 also on vaccination, the survey was conducted online using a questionnaire. -The total number of our study sample in the three departments is (629) interns, among them (85.4%) have already had COVID-19 -the rate of COVID-19 vaccination is estimated at (40%), among them (81%) have received 2 doses of vaccine, (63%) of our sample stated that they are aware of the post-vaccination side effects -(45.2%) of the interns are influenced by health personnel and (21%) of them are influenced by social networks, these are the main sources of information used by the interns to follow thenews of COVID -19 and vaccination. -The reasons for abstaining from vaccination found among interns, fear of adverse effects (34%), and (21%) of interns said that they do not have enough information on vaccination -(15%) of unvaccinated residents intend to be vaccinated while (50%) of them have not yet made their decision. -(96%) of the interns follow the good practices of prevention against COVID-19 but to different degrees (always, sometimes, often) and only 4% do not respect them. -About awareness (73%) of the unvaccinated interns think that they need awareness sessions and information on the interest and usefulness of vaccination.
