Réalisation d’un système de sablage à chaud

Abstract

The protection of materials has always been a high topic, especially for domestic use. Appliances are protected by two types of coating: epoxy and enamel. The first is reserved for the less stressed parts while the second concerns the parts working under severe conditions. In our study, we characterized the adhesion of these coatings from ATLAS Company. We used different techniques to qualify these coatings: hardness, roughness, wear and microscopy. We highlighted the quality of these coatings and identified the failure mechanisms. We have proven that the epoxy coating adheres better than enamel which is destroyed under cyclic bending stresses. The present results are in good agreement with those of the specific tests in company.
