Abstract

The theme of this final project is "chemical risk assessment in medical school laboratories". The purpose of this work is to deal with the main risks and preventive measures in order to guarantee better safety in a laboratory. Through this study, we will try to clarify the general designs of the laboratory, the equipment and the safety measures. Our objective would therefore be to highlight the importance of chemical risk assessment and, if not, the seriousness of the consequences. Our thesis will mainly include three parts, a theoretical part which will include three chapters. In a first chapter we will define a chemical product, we will detail its classification and its labeling passing by the chemical risk and its definition, its classification as well as its impact on the whole, and all this by following very precise regulations. We will proceed in a second chapter to the methods which will make it possible to guarantee a good security on the individual, organizational and technical level. Concerning the third chapter, we will proceed to an enumeration of the steps to be followed to assess a chemical risk by following regulatory methods. Regarding the practical part, we have adopted a software called Clarice: a classification tool based on INRS methods which has allowed us to evaluate certain chemicals that we have introduced into it
