Abstract
The Atlas cedar, Cedrus atlantica Manetti, is one of the most important softwood species in North Africa. The study was carried out in the cedar forests of Boutaleb and Ouled Tebben in the south of the Wilaya of Setif. It is undergoing a more remarkable and extensive decline. The first objective was to determine the entomological biodiversity of Cedrus atlantica, revealing the presence of 620 individuals divided into 7 families and 9 species. One of these species, Scolytus intricatus, seems to have suddenly appeared on the cedars. This species is characterized by its high reproductive potential. The second objective of this study was to use molecular techniques such as PCR and sequencing to identify the fungi associated with the insects collected above. We have 42 isolates identified from a total of 79 isolates. The final objective Among the medicinal plants selected, Saccocalyx satureioide showed significant effects in terms of their antifungal powers.
