Abstract

The objective of this thesis is the electromagnetic characterization of ternary composite materials based on epoxy resin (RE) loaded with barium titanate BaTiO3 (BT) and ferrite (FR) or iron oxide (FE), using the time domain spectroscopy TDS method and the vibrating simple magnetometer EZ7VSM system. The modified law of Lichtenecker with the method of nonlinear numerical optimization of shape factor is employed to identify the permittivity and allows validating the accordance of the experimental data with the new approach of theoretical models. The phenomenon of percolation of the conductivity has been studied in low frequency 250 MHz. The complex dielectric permittivity spectra are superposed with a flat tendency, and are obtained by the TDS as a function of the frequency [DC-12.5 GHz] and the volumetric fraction of (BT %). The magnetization of saturation and the hysteresis cycle of the composites, obtained by the EZ7VSM system in (-3 to +3 KOe). The study of magneto-dielectric comportment of composites (RE-BT-FR or FE) allows observing the iron oxides and ferrite effect on the dielectric permittivity the magnetic permeability. All this studies have been carried out in order to foresee possible applications of these materials in microwave electronics, for example the reduction in size of printed antennas and the improvement of the performance of microwave devices.
