Etude géophysique , géologique et géotechnique de l’effondrement de Hammam Ouled Yelles.

Abstract

The region of Hammam Ouled Yelles is located in the Setifian highlands, this region is affected by a collapse of land caused by its lithological nature which is characterized by mio-plio-quaternary formations such as: lake limestone, clays, marls, silts and sands. Many natural or anthropogenic parameters condition the appearance and development of landslide (lithological nature, waters). The chemical analyzes of the thermal waters of hammam ouled Yelles showed that the soil becomes aggressive at the contact of these waters thus causing the dissolution of the calcareous layer followed by the collapse of this one. The geophysical investigation by 2D electrical tomography procedure confirms a disorder in the ground to a depth of 8m.
