Abstract

The course on the Taxonomy and Systematics of Lower Plants is a core subject in the fifth semester of the academic Bachelor’s degree program in Biotechnology and Plant Breeding (third year). It carries a coefficient of 2 and 4 credits, with a total workload of 67.5 hours, comprising 1.5 hours of lectures and 1.5 hours of practical work per session. The course aims to provide the theoretical and practical foundations necessary for students to acquire knowledge and concepts regarding the classification and systematics of major plant groups, as well as the criteria used for classification.
