Étude Géologique, géotechnique, minéralogique et géochimique des argiles maestrichtiennes d’El Batha W.Sétif

Abstract

The study presented in this paper aims to identify the specific characteristics of clays maestrichtiennes El- Batha which is approximately 27 Km northwest of the wilaya of Setif, for possible use in the red products ( bricks and tiles) . The tudies used ( geological survey , geotechnical , mineralogical and geochemical ) shows that the deposit is divided into two layers: an upper layer yellowish clay plastic with a mineralogical and chemical composition , which gives them all he peculiarities of use as a product and a red layer lower black shale considered productive with treatments see his nature which is little clay and plastic with a slightly higher rate in so3.Donc both deposit layers are productive but with treatments to the lower layer.
