Gestion des produits pharmaceutiques dans un service hospitalier cas du service hémodialyse de l’EPH de Chelghoum Laïd

Abstract

The kidneys are very important for human health due to their major role in the body. However, this organ is threatened by renal failure, which requires a replacement treatment. Hemodialysis remains, by far, the most frequently used treatment. In this thesis, we conducted a study on the management of pharmaceutical products in the hemodialysis department of the EPH of Chelghoum Laid, during the period from January 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024. The main results obtained are as follows: 55% of patients are under 50 years old, of which 3% are under 25 years old, while 45% of patients are over 50 years old; 51% of hemodialysis patients are men; hypertension and diabetes are the main causes of renal failure, representing 50% and 20% of cases, respectively; the number of emergency sessions constitutes 8% of the total number of dialysis sessions performed in the hemodialysis department; finally, the cost of expenses for the hemodialysis service represented 13% of the total amount of pharmaceutical invoices acquired, which amounted to 400,387,039.31 DA.
