Abstract
This brochure addresses ethics and professional deontology in health management, highlighting their importance in guiding professional practices and decision-making within healthcare institutions. It presents the concept of ethics, its relationship with law and professional rules, and its development in the medical field. The brochure focuses on the four fundamental principles of medical ethics: autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, as well as confidentiality, transparency, integrity, and respect for patients’ rights and dignity. It also examines ethical issues related to healthcare resource management, equity in access to healthcare, informed consent, medical research, and clinical trials. Finally, it discusses contemporary challenges related to digital health, artificial intelligence, and data protection, emphasizing that ethical and professional conduct contributes to improving the quality of care, protecting patients’ rights, and strengthening trust in healthcare institutions.
