Abstract

The study of the stability of tunnels in massive fractured rocks is the major concern of the engineer manager. The discontinuities may be the most important factors controlling the stability of massive rocks, this work have two goals: first of all, is to improve and validate a generation model of the fracturing of the rock mass in three dimensions. Second, is to develop innovative design methods and excavations in the ground based modeled discontinuities networks. In another approach, the study of the deformation and the fracture of massive rocks cracked by the finite element method in the context of the resolution of all technical or practical problems encountered in the use of evaluation methods. Firstly, deformations and breakings of tunnels in the massive fractured rocks and also the handling of the thorny issues of the use of the empirical and analytical methods for the resolution of these problems
