Soil liquefaction is a major problem in geotechnics; it is directly related to seismic stresses in which a soil loses its mechanical characteristics by transforming it into a material with the fluid characteristics. The socio-economic damage caused by this phenomenon involves enormous human and material losses. In Algeria, the most studied example is the one linked to the earthquake of Zemouri (Wilaya of Boumerdes), consequently, according to the C.R.A.A.G., the wilaya of Jijel also records devastating earthquakes where we cite as an example, the two magnetism earthquakes 6.6 - 6.9 which caused the two tsunamis of Djidjeli on 21 and 22 August 1856. This study represents an evaluation of the liquefaction potential based on the data collected by the LTPE Jijel during a geotechnical investigation near the port of DjenDjen. We used the procedure proposed by Idriss and Boulanger in 2014 introduced in LiqSVs 2.0 software. Based on the liquefaction potential index LPI, it is proven that the entire area studied is potentially liquefiable.
