Abstract
The traditional spherical lenses have a defect inherent to their design: the focus of the center of the lens does not correspond to that of its periphery. Thus, an image, observed apart from the optical axis, aberrations which are compensated with difficulty by the spherical corrective lenses. This is why the aspheric lenses were developed. These components have a variable radius of curvature designed in order to reach a unique focus. Aspheric surface can be realized by various techniques such as: Grinding of utmost precision, Molding of precision, hybrid Manufacture, computer-aided machining, etc The objective of this work consists to study and compare theoretically the various methods used in the manufacturing techniques of aspheric surfaces.
