| dc.description.abstract | Periodontal health and dental restorations are closely linked; indeed, a prosthesis should only be undertaken in the presence of a healthy or well-maintained periodontium. Conversely, the prosthesis must ensure the long-term maintenance of this health. All prosthetic work must be designed in such a way as to: - Not promote the accumulation of various deposits; - Allow for their removal; - Avoid any occlusal overload. Given that many failures result from neglecting periodontal guidelines, a pre-prosthetic periodontal examination remains a mandatory prerequisite before the fabrication of any prosthetic device. It will therefore include essential steps, both clinical and complementary (radiological, microbiological examinations, etc.), the aim of which is to objectively and comprehensively assess the condition of the periodontium receiving the device, as well as the subsequent periodontal preparation. In turn, the prosthesis, by adhering to well-established and codified manufacturing criteria, will contribute to the longevity of the periodontium. | |
| dc.description.sponsorship | La santé parodontale et les restaurations dentaires sont étroitement liées, en effet une prothèse ne doit être entreprise qu’en présence de parodonte sain ou bien asséni. En revanche la prothèse doit assurer la pérennité de cet état de santé, toute réalisation prothétique doit être conçue de manière à : -Ne pas favoriser l’accumulation des différents dépôts -Permettre leur élimination ; -Eviter toute surcharge occlusale Sachant que bien des échecs résultent d’une négligence des consignes parodontales ; ’’examen parodontal pré-prothétique reste le préalable obligatoire avant la confection de tout artifice prothétique, il comprendra dés lors des étapes indispensables tant sur le plan clinique que celui complémentaire « Examens radiologiques, microbiologiques … » dont l’optique sera de pouvoir estimer d’une manière objective et exhaustive l’état du parodonte receveur de l’artifice, ainsi que la préparation parodontale qui s’en suivra. À son tour la prothèse en obéissant à des critères de confection bien établis et codifiés, va contribuer à la pérennité de ce même parodonte. | |
