Abstract
Once upon a time, all living organisms were grouped into two kingdoms: plants and animals.
Animals included every living thing that moved, ate and grew to a certain size before
stopping. Plants included all organisms that did not move or eat, and continued to grow
throughout their lives. A living being is a highly complex organism that goes through
biological cycles it is born, grows, can reproduce, and eventually dies. Living beings differ
from one another in their levels of organization and methods of nutrition, resulting in a wide
diversity. To better study this diversity, scientists classify all living organisms into broad
groups called kingdoms, based on shared characteristics. Five kingdom being the most
common which was developed in 1969 by the American ecologist Robert Harding
