Abstract

Boussellem is the permanent river in Setif’ s region. It represents the main source of Barrage of Ain Zada which supplies Setif, Botj Bou Ariridj, El–Elma, and Bougaa with drinking water .It extends over a length of 159 km and a volume regularisable annually near 38Hm³. Boussellam is a victim of pollution caused by the industry and urban in addition to car-wash stations and factories of agro alimentation who do not treat their discharge. Our work consists to present the results of the chemistry, physically, and bacteriology analyses of Oued Boussellem and to propose, development tosafe the ecosystem potentiality: Biotope, habitat, reproduction of thes pecies, drainage, and straying from the bed …..On the other hand t meet local custom: leisure, fishing, landscapes. And finally to protect the infrastructures and urbanized areas. The physical-chemistry and bacteriology results show the presence of chemistry pollution due, probably, to the level of Ammonium (4.4mg/l), Nitrite (2mg/l), and Zinc (2.21mg/l). Eventually, the organic pollution caused by the presence of certain germs (230.103UFC/100ml). The development of Oued Bousselem valley allows to diversifies the habitat creating rest areas, spawning and feeding, and increase the quality of the environment’s physical.
