Abstract

This thesis explores the relationship between contemporary architecture and thermal heritage, based on a case study of a thermal site located in the Sétif region, Algeria. The aim is to design an integrated tourist complex that enhances the intangible heritage of the hammam while meeting the current needs of wellness tourism. Through a context-sensitive architectural approach, the project combines a hammam, hotel, bungalows, and landscaped areas in a harmonious composition. The study draws on international and local references, site analysis, and considerations of sustainable materials, landscape integration, and users' sensory experience. This work offers a contemporary response rooted in memory and sustainability.
