Abstract
During these recent years some work has been conducted in the area of SF6 high voltage circuit breakers modelling in order to improve their capability through numerous simulations. Most of research has been concentred in describing the circuit breaker behaviour in the pre or post current zero periods by mathematical models. This work present four routines based on the least square method and the MATLAB optimisation function fmins to extract the parameters of four arc models implemented in the new program AMB (Arc Model Blockset), witch are Cassie arc model, Mayr arc model, modified Mayr arc model and Schavemaker arc model. These parameters are then introduced into AMB for simulations. The results of simulations are then discussed and the models are compared.
