Boundary stabilization of Viscoelastic plate equation

Abstract

This thesis investigates the asymptotic behavior of a viscoelastic plate system subjected to memory-type damping at its boundaries. By imposing suitable conditions on the initial data, we establish the general decay of the solutions energy. To achieve these results, various mathematical approaches were employed, including the energy method, the construction of Lyapunov functional, and the properties of convex function.
