Thrombocytopénie immunitaire thrombotique induite par le vaccin anti-covid-19

Abstract

After the launch of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccination campaign, several global health organizations reported rare but serious thrombotic events that subsequently attributed to it the Covid-19 vaccineinduced thrombotic thrombocytopenia. The object of our study is to document the occurrence of this phenomenon in an Algerian population after vaccination. We have carried out three types of investigations: The first relates to the evaluation of the blood count formula and the haemostasis assessment in a volunteer population before and after vaccination in two vaccination centers in the Willaya of Sétif (Bizare and El- Eulma). The second aims to collect vaccination information via a self-administered questionnaire distributed online. The last is a head-tohead type survey targeting liberal doctors from different specialties. The study of the biological assessment before and after the anti-COVID-19 vaccination involved 79 volunteers and the selfadministered questionnaire in 67 participants. In the last survey, we interviewed eight independent medical specialists. All these investigations were unable to reveal the occurrence of the phenomenon in the population studied. Given the limited size of our sample and the short duration of our study, we were unable to confirm the occurrence of TTIV syndrome. This phenomenon being very rare, to evaluate it, a longer period and covering an even larger population are necessary.
