Le traitement orthoptique de l’amblyopie fonctionnelle

Abstract

Young children can indeed be exposed to different visual problems which, if not treated as soon as possible, can lead to partial or total loss of vision and can also have a significant impact on their daily life, to avoid this, early detection must be initiated to begin rehabilitation as soon as possible in order to limit the serious consequences of these problems on visual abilities. Among these problems, amblyopia, which is a decrease in visual acuity, is characterized by a disorder in the development and maturation of the visual system in the first months of life. Our study will aim to investigate the treatment of amblyopia. First, we will review amblyopia and its influence on visual development over time. Secondly, we will discuss the importance of early screening and the need to monitor this treatment as well as the support of the child and the parents which is also very important.
