Abstract

This final-year dissertation focuses on the quality control of antiviral vaccines, in relation to public health challenges and vaccine safety requirements. It is organized into three main chapters. The first chapter presents an overview of the major viral diseases in Algeria, along with the most recent epidemiological data, highlighting the public health impact and national prevention priorities. The second chapter discusses antiviral vaccines, covering their definition, historical development, mechanisms of action, and various types. It also describes the organization of antiviral vaccination in Algeria, including the national immunization schedule. The third and central chapter provides an in-depth analysis of the quality control processes for antiviral vaccines. It details the stages of development, manufacturing, analytical control, post-marketing pharmacovigilance, and the specific aspects of vaccine commercialization and distribution, based on international standards and the Algerian context. This work emphasizes the crucial role of vaccine quality assurance in combating infectious diseases, while considering local constraints and opportunities for improvement.
