Abstract
Located in the region of Hamma Bouziane, the thermal springs of Ain Skhouna and Hammam Zaoui, are 12 km north of Constantine. These are the outlets of the hydrothermal aquifer, Cenomano-Turonian, Constantinian neritic, which feeds the
majority of emergences in the region. The springs, which sink in a leveled plain of 422 m of altitude, have a temperature which varies between 28 C \and 33 C \. The roof of the system corresponds to the sandy - clay filling of the Neogene which
ensures the superficial recharge of this captive sheet. The hydrometric study of the main outlet (AYn Hammam Zaoui) has shown that the reserves are potential and they are intended for the AEP of the Constantine city. The water chemistry of the sources and the wells confirms the feeding of the Mio Plio - Quaternary filling by the carbonate massifs. The waters mineralization is very weak with a dominance of the calcic bicarbonate facies on the waters classification. However, these waters of the Cretaceous hydrothermal system remain of good quality both for the supply of drinking water and for irrigation.
