Evaluation du potentiel de Gonflelment des formation argilomarneuses dans la région des hauts plateaux (cas de la Commune de Tadjenanet).

Abstract

The commune of Tadjenanet located in the North-East of Algeria, it is characterized essentially by the outcropping of the clay-marl formations of Mio-Pliocene, which have a potential to the withdrawal swelling important with the presence of the water (climate semi-arid). The purpose of our study is to evaluate the susceptibility of the lands of the study area to the shrinkage-swelling phenomenon, according to the BRGM method. The product of our study is a susceptibility map that relies on field and laboratory data as well as multicriteria analysis under Geographic Information System (GIS). The results show that the clay-marly formations are plastic and have a significant shrinkage-swelling potential that translates into minor damage on the light layouts and the individual building in the north and center of the town
