Abstract
إنّ النمو السكاني في الجزائر ظاهرة معقدة ومتداخلة، أصبحت مع مرور الزمن هاجسًا يهدد تناسق وانسجام الأنسجة الحضرية للمدن الجزائرية بصفة عامة، ولمدينة العلمة بصفة خاصة. فقد شهدت هذه الأخيرة نموًا ديمغرافيًا سريعًا تجسد في تزايد عدد السكان والمساكن، واتساع المساحة العمرانية، وما ترتب عن ذلك من انعكاسات مست مختلف الأوضاع الاجتماعية للسكان،ويعود ذلك إلى تداخل مجموعة من العوامل، باعتبار مدينة العلمة قطبًا عمرانيًا واقتصاديًا يستدعي تدخل مختلف الفاعلين لمعالجة الإشكاليات المطروحة. كما أن التوجهات المستقبلية ترتكز على تحقيق سياسة عمرانية شاملة تضمن توفير الظروف الاجتماعية الملائمة للسكان، من خلال توفير التجهيزات السكنية والمرافق الملحقة بها، والاعتماد على أسس علمية ومنهجية من شأنها تحقيق التوافق بين النمو الحضري والنمو الديمغرافي.
