MORBIMORTALITE LIEE A LA COVID19 CHEZ LE PERSONNEL DES PHARMACIES D’OFFICINE DE LA VILLE DE SETIF

Abstract

Pharmacy staff have found themselves on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, which is a pandemic of an emerging infectious disease. The objective of our study is to study the morbidity, mortality related to this disease. This is a descriptive cross-sectional epidemiological study, carried out among 120 employees working in pharmacies in the city of Sétif, during the period from January 2022 to May 2022. Analysis of the data collected showed that our study population is relatively young (42.5% between the ages of 19 and 29), predominantly female (55%). composed mainly of salespeople (60.8%). 80% of the staff were affected by the disease, we did not record any deaths among the staff of these pharmacies, the distribution of the affected population according to clinical signs related to covid19 has increased the following clinical profile: fever (84.7%), cough (82%), headache (74%), body aches (71%), asthenia (64%), anosmia (35%), agueusia (30%) and diarrhea (25%). The drugs most used by our population to treat covid19 are antibiotics (87%), antipyretics (84%) and corticosteroids (58%), food supplements have been used by 79% of patients.
