Abstract

This thesis deals with the design, analysis and simulation of a wind energy conversion system based doubly fed induction generator driven by a variable pitch wind turbine. Modeling of the mechanical part of the wind and the pursuit of its optimal operating point very detailed and they validated the simulation results for the two operation zones of the wind turbine. The electric part of the wind turbine is devoted to electrical energy production on the grid by using the doubly fed induction generator. The conception of the machine permits to control the power exchanged between the stator and the grid by modifying rotor voltages via a bidirectional converter. To achieve this, a vector control of the generator is done with active and reactive stator powers as control variables. The performances of the system are analyzed of reference tracking and robustness.
