Abstract

This work presents a three-phase grid-connected photovoltaic generation system with unity power factor for any situation of solar radiation. The model of the inverter and a control strategy using direct power control (DPC) and hysteresis are proposed, the system operates as an active filter capable of compensate harmonic components and reactive power, generated by the other non linear loads connected to the system and also inject the solar energy into the power system as the active power by means of a two-stage conversion system, composed of a DC-DC Cùk converter and a DC-AC inverter. The MPPT controller is applied to tracking the maximum power point of PV system under variable conditions of irradiance. The task of a maximum power point (MPP) tracking (MPPT) in a PV power system is to continuously tune the system so that it draws maximum power from the GPV. Simulation results and practical implementation in real time has been done through a system controller board dspace 1104, are presented to validate the proposed methodology for grid connected photovoltaic generation system.
