Abstract
We suggest in this work to study, by means of numerical simulations, the evolution of the stratification and the LNG dynamics. Mathematical models of mixtures prediction can be used to model the LNG behavior in storage tanks. These models take into account the thermal convective exchanges between layers. The convection equations are solved by the finite differences methods using the following schemes: the Alternating Direction Implicit method (ADI) and the over-relaxation method. The cylindrical tank is laterally heated at a uniform heat flux density. The influence of Rayleigh number and the aspect ratio on the temperature and the velocity of the fluid are particularly studied
