Abstract

This thesis work presents a contribution in the of a CAD tool consecrated to the simulation of MIC (Microwave Integrated Circuits). Our contribution is the development of a software package to and characterization of the coplanar st ripline "CPS" and its discontinuities. The first part of this work is dedicated to the study of two types of CPS (open and shielded) and presents the results of characterization obtained for the effective propagation constan t and the effective permittivity. The second part presents a detailed study of regular and irregular of the CPS and the obtained results concern the reflection and as a function of the geometrical and electrical and the frequency. The obtained results concern the effective and the effective propagation constant of the CPS lines (open and shielded) and their characteristic and the dispersion parameters of the different discontinuities as function of frequency and the given geometry. A comparison of the obtained results with other -static and Full-wave) and with some is presented and commented.
