La Gestion Du Site D’extraction Dans Le Traitement Implantaire

Abstract

Implantology makes it possible to replace absent teeth or those that are condemned to extraction, that’s leed to restoring the function (obtained by osseointegration) and esthetics (requires knowledge of the esthetic goals of such treatment). Dental extraction results partial or complete resorption of the vestibular cortical. The avulsion must be the most atraumatic conservative way for bone and soft tissues, and uses specific ways and techniques such as piezosurgery and specialized hand instruments. The evolution of (bio-) materials and implant concepts today makes it possible to shorten the time between extraction and implantation. The decision of the protocol to follow is extemporaneous to the extraction, and the choices are the following ones: immediate implantation, early, delayed or late implantation . Under ideal tissue conditions, immediate implantation is indicated. In less favorable clinical situations, the waiting time from a few days to a few weeks after the extraction, makes it possible to manage the osteo-mucosal context (low keratinized tissue thickness and an insufficient bone height for implantation of the implant) and to optimize it, by means of bone and / or mucosal grafts
