Etude theorique d’un ordinateur optique

Abstract

Today, there are indeed serious hopes of increasing the computing power of computers by using balanced optical processors that use light rays. This approach also makes it possible to process information within the processors themselves through appropriate nonlinear interactions with matter. The main goal is to improve the speed and efficiency of optical memory and information recording. In addition, the study focuses on the development of more precise techniques such as holography, computation and optical image processing based on coherence modulation. These developments are seen as promising to improve the performance of optical computer sièr ystems and to potentially replace traditional computer hardware.
