Etude des ecoquartiers et analyse de leur influence sur la qualite de vie urbaine : Cas d’étude : la cité du 8 mai 1945 (600 logements) à Sétif

Abstract

Numerous are the studies dealing with the quality of urban living, and even the design of the city of tomorrow. Frorn this perspective and since scveral years, the sustainable development was born from a collective consciousness in order facing the merciless degradation of the planet. Moreover, our cities sunender without any control to the vertiginous technological development that makes our cities and districts noisy, polluted and insecure under the domination of the car, All at the expenses of nature and qualiry of city life. ln many counfries the sustainable development has swttched a collective consciousness which has led the inhabitants to think again about their districts by making them more pleasant to live and especially respectful of nature. The first thoughts about sustainable districts, which end by adopting rhe rerm of eco-disfficr, are rhe fiuit of a popular interest that has resonated throughout the planet, while the first eco-disfrict have emerged in Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Scanclinavian countries., ) other countries and other populations were impregnated with this way ol making the city by adapting it locally. This way of acting and changing the ciry leads us to think locally about adopting this concepr which goes beyond the frontiers and adapts o the local characteristics because each country has its geographic features, its political and urban cuiture, its relation with nature and also with its anthropological. religious and historical roots ln the flrst part we deal with a bibliographic research on the sustainable cir.v and more particularly on the ecological alternative that has guided the thinking towards the sustainable development. Then the study of the eco-disrricts allowed us to point on the sustainable urban approaches ancl the recommendations of this movement, We focused in this part on the especially on the environmental aspect. The second part. however. includes data from the investigation and the urban analysis that are very imponant in understanding the specifics of our site of research This site serves us as a research laboratory at the urban scale in order to contirm the assumptions that put the parameters of external design under studies We completed our research by making a simulation in which the sofïware Envi-Met was used are two scenarlos were conceived (with and without improvement) that would help us confirming our hypotheses concerning the comfon conditions on the studied site, so that we can finally predict recotnmendations and anticipate solutions to ameliorate the comfort conditions in our cities. Finally. questioning the residents allowed us to examine their thoughts about the growing problems they experience in their city. trying to put in collusion their testimonies with recommendations approach advocated by the eco-disnicts. of the Based on the obtained results from this study, whether from the investigated urban analysis or from the stimulation, we could confirm the assumptions made initially. Moreover, the benefits of an urban ecological demarche are noticed on the qualiry of Iifè and urban comfbrt in general, and particularly on the amelioration of the inhabitants' Iving within their city, our stucly allows the iltroduction of the environmenlal concept in the urban design process, the thing that opens the gare to researçhes on difÏerent parameters belonging to this demarche, Thus our research may be a support to different studies about the sustainable development in an urban environment and especially on the improvement of the qualiry of the urban life of resiclents rn all its aspects.
