Abstract

The optical pulses generation in mode-locked lasers are described, in the case of complicated spectral filtering, by the cubic-quintic complex Swift-Hohenberg equation (CCQSHE). Using the ANSATZ method, we studied the existence of the bright and dark soliton solutions of the space-dependent coefficients CCQSHE. The physical parameters of the soliton solutions have been obtained as functions of the variable coefficients of the model equation. The parametric conditions for the existence of the soliton solutions are presented. By the numerical evolution of the bright and black solitons, we studied the influence of high order effects, dispersion and non-linearity’s, on the propagation of the soliton solutions. By a numerical simulation, we could find that its solitons can have a verylocalized structure and can thus propagate without any noticeable deformation, under certain conditions determined by the model. Our thesis work will focus, therefore, on the study of pulse propagation dynamics in laser cavities including spectral filtering and non-linear gain. Thus, our work will be articulated to find numerical soliton or solitary wave solutions to the model that governs the propagation of pulses in open optical systems such as laser cavities. This work was the subject of an international publication, heading: « Chirped soliton solutions of the cubic-quintic Swift-Hohenberg equation with space-dependent coefficients ». In the journal: « Optik - International Journal for Light and Electron Optics ».

Description

Ce travail a fait l’objet d’une publication internationale, intitulé : « Chirped soliton solutions of the cubic-quintic Swift-Hohenberg equation with space-dependent coefficients ». Dans le journal: « Optik - International Journal for Light and Electron Optics ».
