Abstract

The content of this thesis work consists to study nanostructured materials: synthesis, characterization and study of some hybrids like polymer-montmorillonite nanocomposite systems. The experimental study developed in this work is organized around three main parts. The first is devoted to the study of modified clays. The second focuses on the effects induced on the properties of low density polyethylene (LDPE) by addition modified maghnite (C16-Mag). The third one describes the elaboration of a new nanobiocomposite. This system is constituted by polypropylene matrix, reinforced with organophilic maghnite (C16-Mag). In order to associate to the polypropylene a biodegradable character a biopolymer such as starch was added to improve the adhesion between its various constituents like PP-g-MA as compatibilizing. Finally, several characterization techniques have been used, namely X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), thermogravimetry and differential analysis. (TG-ATD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) as well as the study of mechanical properties.
