Abstract

Chemistry is the science that studies the composition, structure and properties of matter, as well as the transformations that it can undergo. It is at the heart of understanding many aspects of nature and life. The size of the compounds studied in chemistry varies from reactions between simple atoms to molecular structures of several tens of thousands of atoms (DNA, proteins, crystals, etc.).
