The development of a tumor depends on the balance between anti-tumor immunity, which is capable of eliminating cancer cells, and mechanisms of immune evasion. All the progress made and expected in the field of cancer immunology suggests that vaccine immunotherapy will play an increasingly significant role in anti-cancer therapy. Vaccine immunotherapy represents a major advancement in cancer treatment, but its success relies on a personalized approach that takes into account the complexity of the tumor microenvironment and the individual characteristics of patients
