| dc.description.abstract | Today our cultural architectural heritage is a fragile and threatened complex reality, which now has an important role in the life and development of our societies ; this awareness of the dangers threatening this heritage encourages us to preserve it in order to transmit it in good conditions to the future generations. The main objective of our work is to revive the neighborhood of Sidi Djeliss, which is in a degraded area. Our first task was to study the medina of Constantine, its history, its characteristics and its specificities. Then urban district analysis and diagnosis of the current situation helped us to propose the actions necessary for the enhancement of the most important constructions, but also the protection of intangible cultural property. The program is developed around the creation of a "House of Memory and Heritage" that will have for mission the safeguarding, transmission and teaching of Constantine cultural architectural heritage. In the final, in the words of Guido Canali, "the goal it is not to hurt the past architecture but to give him the opportunity to show its best in the company of contemporary architecture". | |
| dc.description.sponsorship | Aujourd'hui le patrimoine est une réalité complexe fragile et menacée qui désormais a un rôle important dans la vie et le développement des sociétés ; cette prise de conscience des dangers qui guettent cet héritage nous incite à le préserver pour le transmettre aux générations futures. L'objectif principal de notre travail est de redonner vie au quartier de Sidi Djeliss qui s’inscrit dans un secteur dégradé. Dans un premier temps le travail consiste à une étude la médina de Constantine, son histoire, ses caractéristiques et ses spécificités. Ensuite l'analyse urbaine du quartier et le diagnostic de l'état des lieux, nous ont aidés à proposer les actions nécessaires à la mise en valeur de ce patrimoine bâti, mais aussi la protection des biens culturels immatériels. Le programme se développe par la création « d'une maison de mémoire et du patrimoine » qui aura pour objet la sauvegarde, la transmission et l'enseignement du patrimoine culturel constantinois. Au finale, pour reprendre les mots de Canali Guido, « il ne s'agit pas de faire mal à l'architecture passé mais de lui donner l'occasion d'apparaître sous son meilleur jour en compagnie d'une architecture contemporaine ». | |
