Réhabilitation de l’habitat de la frange sud-ouest du centre historique de Sétif ; Un enjeu à venir

Abstract

The city of Sétif, has an ancient center, a remarkable site by its architecture, and its identity role as both local and regional memory, which testifies to an Algerian culture, former to the colonization and which does not cease decaying. It is daily exposed to a progressive destruction of the originality of its structure under the eyes of its inhabitants and its elites. So the project shall, in the preliminary study, a detailed analysis of the immediate environment of the project, so as to evaluate the nature and extent of the constraints and specificities to be taken into account in the justification of the adopted party and project design in general. The adopted architecture brings nuance, flexibility, variety that will best meet the needs of inhabitants in terms of aesthetics and comfort and make the southwest part of downtown pleasant to inhabit. The constant benchmark must be always present; the urban environment created allows everyone to find his place, to recognize and to appropriate its space. The project takes into account the principles of sustainable development: economic, social, environmental and cultural to achieve a liveable project viable and sustainable to meet the needs of future users. The design strives to meet this objective whether spaces participant of community life shared common premises, recreational areas and relaxation... Our semi open island consists of three main parts which are: family units; equipment and outdoor areas: meeting spaces, playgrounds for children and green areas. The structures of these facilities are stepped up to R 3 + R + 7, with parking spaces and technical rooms in the basement. In this project we must take into consideration the harmonious relationship between buildings and their immediate environment.
